Money
From Sharune Wiki
Money in Sharûne is used to buy many things, from weaponry and armor to flowers, food and drink.
Money is gained by killing humanoid NPCs, humanoids NPC only carry money.
Money comes in many different types, iron, tin, copper, bronze, silver, gold, platinum and mithril pieces can be found. However, any coin above copper coins is very rarely found on corpses, and often only obtained by exchanging smaller coins or by selling powerful pieces of equipment. Each coin type is worth 10 of the coin below it, for instance, 1 tin is worth 10 iron, 1 platinum is worth 10 gold.
Once you have money it can be used to buy things by finding a shopkeeper (see shops for more information). If you don't want to spend your cash though, a good idea is to store it in a bank for later use, this is done using these commands:
Deposit Deposit money into the bank (only when at a bank). Example: Deposit 6 bronze will deposit 6 bronze coins if you have that amount of money or more in your inventory.
Withdraw Same usage as above, but will take money OUT of the bank and into your inventory.
Balance: Displays the amount of money currently kept in your account. You use the same account at all banks to provide ease of use. In order to use this command, just type 'balance' at a bank.
Exchange This command allows you to convert your cash into different kinds of coin; iron can be exchanged for mithril, copper for tin, and so on.
For Example:
- I try to exchange some iron pieces for 1 bronze piece.
- There are 10 iron pieces in a tin, 10 tin pieces in a copper, and 10 copper pieces in a bronze: 10x10x10=1000
- So there are 1000 iron pieces in a bronze piece.
- There are 10 iron pieces in a tin, 10 tin pieces in a copper, and 100 iron pieces in one copper piece.
- I have these coins in my inventory, so I type: 'exchange 1000 iron bronze'
- I now have one bronze piece.
If you do not want to work out exact numbers, but you know you have enough to exchange for the type you want, just try to exchange however much you want to, and it will be rounded down into the amount needed, for instance, say I wanted to exchange iron pieces for 6 copper ones. I have 667 iron pieces, I know this is enough to exchange for 6 copper pieces, but I don't know the exact number, so I type exchange 667 iron copper. This gives me the message:
You exchange 600 iron pieces to 6 copper pieces
This is because 6 copper is equal to 6 amounts of 100 iron.(6x100=600)
NOTE: exchange for higher rates (e.g. iron to tin) is not allow, depositing money automatically exchanges into highest possible.
